The Studio is a spacious, warm, vibey recording studio located in downtown Los Angeles, inspired by the vibe of Electric Lady Studios in NY & the space of Abbey Road Studios in London.

We have a state-of-the-art 16 channel Neve Genesys G32 recording console (fully loaded with EQ and Dynamics on every channel). The studio has the capability to track 24 inputs total, a great mic locker full of condenser, ribbon, and dynamic mics, vocal isolation booth, and a great variety of vintage synths & electric pianos.

The room opens up to 18 ft. wood truss ceilings and has a long 57’ new york style brick wall that gives it a comfortable, inspiring vibe. The floor area is 1400 ft2, and includes a kitchenette area (microwave, coffee maker, small refrigerator), lounge, and bathroom.

1. live recording of a band in the same room, playing together, yet achieving great separation between mics
2. modern production with a variety of workhorse mics for vocals, classic analog synths, and huge selection of plug-ins and drum machine samples loaded in Ableton
3. live video sessions/music videos
4. mixing in the box w/large assortment of plug-ins

In addition to the Neve Genesys G32 console, the equipment includes all class A mic pre-amps that are a combination of different colorations based on classic American designs of the early ’70s, class Jensen Twin Servo design, API design, and Neve 1073 design, with Cinemag, Marinair, and Carnhill transformers that are known for the sound in famous Neve and API consoles around the world. The studio is equipped to record up to 18 inputs simultaneously with all class-A mic preamps (active input and output transformers), and professional grade microphones.

An audio engineer can be hired for additional $25/hr.

The mic locker consists of a variety of small/large condenser, ribbon, and dynamic microphones.

We are perfect for whether you are looking to bring in a Pro Tools 10HD or Ableton 9 Session and do overdubs for vocals, or tracking an EP/LP with a live band with up to 18 inputs.

The studio has two long 30’ LED strips that can be programmed to any color which help change the mood of the room. In addition, there is an LED bulb in a lamp that can be programmed to any color.
