Studio City Sound Studios

Studio City Sound is a full service recording studio located in Studio City, California. SCS has hosted recording or mixing sessions for artists such as: Famous Dex, Soulja Boy, Mø, Meghan Trainor, Kelly Clarkson, Jason Derulo, Rod Stewart, No Doubt, T.I., Aloe Blacc, Eric Clapton, Natasha Bedingfield, Weezer, Jeff Beck, and more.

SCS has three fully equipped studios:

Studio A - $125/hr with engineer, $100/hr without engineer Features a custom, vintage, classic Neve 8068 MkII. 32 in 16 bus. With UREI 1176’s, Distressors, ADL, and Chandler EMI Compressors. Ampex, Altec, mic pre’s, EQ’s and 32in/48out of Avid HDX I/O conversion. A large recording room with private lounge and 3 iso rooms. A Yamaha C5 piano, Fender Rhodes, Hammond B3 and DW drum kit. Monitoring ATC SCM45A and Yamaha NS-10’s with Aviom personal monitor mixers and a 24-Channel Otari MX-80 Tape machine. Quested X15 (15″ Passive Subwoofer) Quested SBC800 (Subwoofer Amplifier).

Studio B - $85/hr with engineer, $75/hr without engineer Ideal for overdubs, voiceovers, ADR, and Books on tape. With ISDN and Source Connect capability. Features include D Command, Protools HDX, Telos Zephyr, ADL, Avalon, DBX, Dangerous Monitor ST and Quested VS-2108 monitors, and 5.1 mixing.

Studio C - $125/hr with engineer, $100/hr without engineer SSL E/G+ with Ultimation and Augspurger Duo 15V with 18” Subs. Ideal for vocals, drums, instrument tracking, and mixing. Tube-Tech CL-1A, Inward Connections, TSL-3 Tube Limiter, UREI 1176n Peak Limiter (blackface), UREI 1176ln Peak Limiter (silverface),Smart Research C2 Stereo compressor/limiter, Empirical Labs EL8-XS Stereo Distressors (2), DBX-520 DE-ESSER (4), PULTEC EQP-1A (2), DBX160 VU (2), AMS RMX16, Lexicon PCM70, Lexicon PCM90, Eventide H3500 Ultra-Harmonizer, AccuVerb Spring Reverb (stereo), Neve 1073, Avalon 747sp Program Equalizer, Inward Connections DEQ-4P, Dual 4-Band Parametric.
