Designed by world class designer Russ Berger, and built by lifelong recording engineer Jim Hawkins, Athens, GA Studio 1093 brings together superb acoustics and a mix of modern & vintage equipment in a large open space where musicians can play together.
1093 is dedicated to helping artists bring out the best in their music with its superior space and top notch production staff, whether by guiding the process or in support of the artist’s own team.
The main room is 25’ x 40’ with 16’ ceilings. The main isolation space is entirely glassed to the main room (rather than windowed) and is the full 16’ in height. There is a secondary ISO room for amps, and the garage is also wired for amplifiers or any purpose the recording requires.
Sunlight fills the room during the day unlike the “cave” environment of studios of the past.
Artists have described this room as the most pleasing they have ever played in.
